time to say goodbye

Hey all!  I have another layout to share tonight... yay!  This layout consisted of another haphazard array of pattern papers thrown together on a white background.  Really simple and really fun.

All of the pattern papers are actually from the same 12x12 sheet from the "Clippings" collection by BasicGrey.  It was a really cool quilt-like pattern, so I just cut up all the triangles and rearranged them to my liking.  I had a tough time figuring out where I wanted to place my photos, yet still have the funky patchwork background show, but I like how it turned out.  It's one of those layouts where the more I stare at it, the more I like it.

Those polaroid frames are from Studio Calico, and are actually from a Christmas pack, but the stars are so versatile!

The super gorgeous chipboard butterfly with script writing is from Pink Paislee, and I seriously can't get enough of them lately!  Rhinestones are from Abi's Craft, and the date sticker is from My Mind's Eye, their "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  The yellow, teal, red colour scheme worked really well together, and has become a new favourite of mine!

Two letter stickers were used for the title.  The big black ones are (I think but am not completely sure) from K & Company.  The smaller teal ones are from Prima, and I love them!  They have a really cool fabric texture to them, and the variety of colours are beautiful!

Anyway, hope you all have a sweet night!  Till the next post!

Game Shop Girl

Hi gals!  I have a quick layout to share today.  One that I did just a couple days ago, and I'm loving it!  I've been really inspired by Paige Evans lately, and her use of punches to use up papers, and I realized that I have a lot of 6x6 paper pads, but I don't use them as much as my 12x12 sheets.  So I figured that punching into them would be a great idea!  I even went out and picked up a star punch (from American Crafts) specifically for this layout.  So here it is:

I used yellow cardstock for the background, outlined the edges and punched stars from a variety of BasicGrey collections: Marjolaine, Curio, Lemonade, and Clippings.  I love how colourful and fun the layout looks.

The cute remember fabric sticker with the little elephant is from Amy Tan's "Oh Yes" collection, I believe. Chevron arrows are from Pink Paislee, and the different rhinestones are all from Abi's Craft.
Journaling reads: Remember that one time I picked up a kitten from a game shop while I was on practicum in a different province for 3 weeks?  I sure do!

Title uses two different alpha stickers.  The red is from Simple Stories; it came in a pack with a variety of different colours, from their "Snap" collection.  The white one is from Heidi Swapp (comes in a pack with white and black).  I also like the doodled stars throughout the page for a little bit more fun.

The woodgrain chevron hearts are another fabric sticker from the same Amy Tangerine colletion.  The take note tab is from Evalicious, with another Pink Paislee arrow.

I love how simple this layout is, and how quickly it came together, yet it has a lot of punch of it (pun not intended, ha!).  Hope you all have an awesome rest of your week.

5 pin fun.

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend, and aren't completely falling behind with the time change (I know I'm still exhausted)!

I wanted to share a layout with you guys to start the week off right, and even though it's not a new layout (I have a video posted, too, which is already a week old), I still wanted to share it with you all.

Love love love these pink glitter foam thickers from Dear Lizzy, in the font "fancy".  They are one of my favourite fonts!

That sweet phrase is from Heidi Swapp, and the square photo love note tab is from Evalicious.  It came in a variety pack that I got in one of my Cocoa Daisy kits from last year, but I don't remember which month.

Blue label sticker is also from Heidi Swapp, and it was the perfect size for my journaling.  I adore those self-adhesive chipboard arrow stickers from Pink Paislee, too!  (They also come in a butterfly shape, and the script writing on it makes it very feminine and romantic... swoon!)

Finally found the perfect spot for that giant rhinestone from the "Unchartered Waters" collection from Glitz Design.  The little whale icon was my favourite from that collection!  Pink rhinestones are from Abi's Craft, like usual.

The pink date sticker is from Heidi Swapp, and the half circle pink polka dot label sticker layered underneath is from American Crafts, from a sticker book.

Here's a close up of one of those arrows from Pink Paislee... so pretty!

And the finished layout!  Trimmed about a 1/4 inch from each side of the white cardstock and backed it onto that super cute pink chevron paper from My Mind's Eye, their "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  The blue misted circles were leftovers from a previous project, where I had used them as a mask and spritzed Mr Huey's in honor society, and then took off the punched circles (and used them for this layout).  Went for something different, an "all-over-the-place" kind of look, and I really like how it turned out!

Here's the video, if you feel like watching it:

Hope you all have a great night, and maybe get some crafting time!
