time to say goodbye

Hey all!  I have another layout to share tonight... yay!  This layout consisted of another haphazard array of pattern papers thrown together on a white background.  Really simple and really fun.

All of the pattern papers are actually from the same 12x12 sheet from the "Clippings" collection by BasicGrey.  It was a really cool quilt-like pattern, so I just cut up all the triangles and rearranged them to my liking.  I had a tough time figuring out where I wanted to place my photos, yet still have the funky patchwork background show, but I like how it turned out.  It's one of those layouts where the more I stare at it, the more I like it.

Those polaroid frames are from Studio Calico, and are actually from a Christmas pack, but the stars are so versatile!

The super gorgeous chipboard butterfly with script writing is from Pink Paislee, and I seriously can't get enough of them lately!  Rhinestones are from Abi's Craft, and the date sticker is from My Mind's Eye, their "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  The yellow, teal, red colour scheme worked really well together, and has become a new favourite of mine!

Two letter stickers were used for the title.  The big black ones are (I think but am not completely sure) from K & Company.  The smaller teal ones are from Prima, and I love them!  They have a really cool fabric texture to them, and the variety of colours are beautiful!

Anyway, hope you all have a sweet night!  Till the next post!

Game Shop Girl

Hi gals!  I have a quick layout to share today.  One that I did just a couple days ago, and I'm loving it!  I've been really inspired by Paige Evans lately, and her use of punches to use up papers, and I realized that I have a lot of 6x6 paper pads, but I don't use them as much as my 12x12 sheets.  So I figured that punching into them would be a great idea!  I even went out and picked up a star punch (from American Crafts) specifically for this layout.  So here it is:

I used yellow cardstock for the background, outlined the edges and punched stars from a variety of BasicGrey collections: Marjolaine, Curio, Lemonade, and Clippings.  I love how colourful and fun the layout looks.

The cute remember fabric sticker with the little elephant is from Amy Tan's "Oh Yes" collection, I believe. Chevron arrows are from Pink Paislee, and the different rhinestones are all from Abi's Craft.
Journaling reads: Remember that one time I picked up a kitten from a game shop while I was on practicum in a different province for 3 weeks?  I sure do!

Title uses two different alpha stickers.  The red is from Simple Stories; it came in a pack with a variety of different colours, from their "Snap" collection.  The white one is from Heidi Swapp (comes in a pack with white and black).  I also like the doodled stars throughout the page for a little bit more fun.

The woodgrain chevron hearts are another fabric sticker from the same Amy Tangerine colletion.  The take note tab is from Evalicious, with another Pink Paislee arrow.

I love how simple this layout is, and how quickly it came together, yet it has a lot of punch of it (pun not intended, ha!).  Hope you all have an awesome rest of your week.

5 pin fun.

Hey everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend, and aren't completely falling behind with the time change (I know I'm still exhausted)!

I wanted to share a layout with you guys to start the week off right, and even though it's not a new layout (I have a video posted, too, which is already a week old), I still wanted to share it with you all.

Love love love these pink glitter foam thickers from Dear Lizzy, in the font "fancy".  They are one of my favourite fonts!

That sweet phrase is from Heidi Swapp, and the square photo love note tab is from Evalicious.  It came in a variety pack that I got in one of my Cocoa Daisy kits from last year, but I don't remember which month.

Blue label sticker is also from Heidi Swapp, and it was the perfect size for my journaling.  I adore those self-adhesive chipboard arrow stickers from Pink Paislee, too!  (They also come in a butterfly shape, and the script writing on it makes it very feminine and romantic... swoon!)

Finally found the perfect spot for that giant rhinestone from the "Unchartered Waters" collection from Glitz Design.  The little whale icon was my favourite from that collection!  Pink rhinestones are from Abi's Craft, like usual.

The pink date sticker is from Heidi Swapp, and the half circle pink polka dot label sticker layered underneath is from American Crafts, from a sticker book.

Here's a close up of one of those arrows from Pink Paislee... so pretty!

And the finished layout!  Trimmed about a 1/4 inch from each side of the white cardstock and backed it onto that super cute pink chevron paper from My Mind's Eye, their "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  The blue misted circles were leftovers from a previous project, where I had used them as a mask and spritzed Mr Huey's in honor society, and then took off the punched circles (and used them for this layout).  Went for something different, an "all-over-the-place" kind of look, and I really like how it turned out!

Here's the video, if you feel like watching it:

Hope you all have a great night, and maybe get some crafting time!

putt & glow

Hi, all!  Happy Monday!  Today I have another layout to share with y'all, but there's no video for this one.  The layout came together really quickly, actually, but you'll notice that I had forgotten to add the title until after I'd already taken the photos.  Oops. =)

The background paper is from Carta Bella's "Hello Again" collection; one of the papers I got in my giant 2Peas haul (if you haven't seen that post yet, go check it out!  It comes with a video, too).  I matted the photo on a dark purple polka dot, which is barely visible, but just enough to have the photo stand out a little bit.  Without it, the photo was blending into those gray papers too much.  Both purple papers by the way, are from older collections and I honestly can't remember the names of them.  The dark gray polka dot and medium gray striped paper are both from 3 Bugs in a Rug, from their "Frisky" collection, which at first glance is a very themed cat collection.  But the back sides are all very versatile and mostly neutral.  The light gray/white stripe is from Amy Tangerine's "ready set go" collection, and I used the smaller 6x6 sheet from the paper pad instead of cutting into a whole 12x12 (mainly because I like the paper so much as a background).

I love that super cute yellow fabric camera with the potty people on it!  It's so cute!  And also from Amy Tan, from her "oh yes!" collection.  The purple washi tape is one of my favs, but I don't use it often, so I'm super glad it worked in this layout.  It's from etsy, but I don't remember the name of the store, unfortunately.  Both journaling stickers are from the Dear Lizzy "Everyday" collection.  And yellow rhinestones are from Abi's Craft.

You can really see the pretty gold mist in the photo above (Heidi Swapp Color Shine in "gold lamé).  The dimensional sticker is from Amy Tangerine's "doodle" collection, and sadly I'm almost all done with the embellishments from that collection.  Though, I guess that's also a good thing, so I can move on and get more things! =)  And I adore that label sticker from My Mind's Eye, from "The Sweetest Thing" collection.  It reads: I love you just the way you are and it's adorable!

Anyway, that's it for this layout!  Hope you all have a great Monday!
Happy scrapping if you get the time!

2Peas Black Friday Haul

Happy Saturday, friends!  Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  So, if you haven't checked it out already, definitely do so now!  I have a video posted over on my channel about my Two Peas in a Bucket haul from Black Friday:

I know it's so belated, but I made sure to keep everything in the box until I filmed the video, and as tempted as I was, I didn't play with any of the goodies until I got some good photos of them to share with you all.  =)  Two Peas had some amazing deals, and I scored on a bunch of stuff!

I was able to get 2 out of 3 Glitz Design collections that I had been dying to get: Raven and Finnley (pictured above).  I had also been really wanting to get Wild & Free, but it sold out so quickly!  That aside though, I love these collections, and am so stoked that I got my hands on them!  The colours of Finnley are beautiful and bright, and the little icons of Raven are oh so fun.

I also got a ton of Echo Park papers.  Though I didn't get whole collection packs, I did get a bunch of 12x12 patterned papers and cut-apart sheets from Paper & Glue, Let's Picnic, Yellow Submarine, Totally Teal and Here & Now.  That top cut-apart sheet in the photo above is from Crate Paper, from their The Pier collection.  Also from Crate Paper, I got their Bundled Up winter collection, which I absolutely adore!

One of my favourite papers that I picked up from Studio Calico includes that navy anchor one (pictured above) from their Atlantic collection.  I managed to get a couple more from that collection, but not as many as I would've liked.

I had been wishing for some Freckled Fawn wood frames, and those awesome 2Peas exclusive wood vaneer cards (in the pictures above and below) for the longest time, so I'm glad I stocked up!  Also really loving those Christmas Wise Words from Jillibean Soup.  They're perfect for all the Christmas scrapping I've been doing lately.  And that 12x12 die-cut, also from Jillibean Soup (photo above) is so freakin' gorgeous!  It's perfect for someone like me, who doesn't have a die-cutting machine of my own.  =)

Lastly, some of the other Halloween collections that I scored include Thirty-One by Pebbles (I love those chalkboard stickers!), and Bewitched by We R Memory Keepers.  I don't know what it is about Halloween collections, but I just adore them, and usually tend to hoard them more than actually use them.  Because they're just so pretty!  I also picked up some of the papers from the Hello Again collection by Carta Bella (that floral and arrow paper in the photo above are some of my favs!) and a couple from the Lucky Charm collection by Dear Lizzy.

Anyway, hope you all have a great night!  And I will be back with another post in a couple days.
Happy scrapping, friends!

Phrase it Good!

Hi all!
I hope you guys had a very happy New Year, and that January has been a great month full of wonderful beginnings for 2014!

Since moving into our new house, we've been busy painting and I've been happily setting up my new craft space, and getting into the swing of things again.  Along with that, I've been filming more videos now that I have the space, without feeling crammed.  =)

It's been a while since I posted with a new layout, and today I have a layout PLUS video! Yay!  Here's a look at the finished layout:

I used white cardstock as the base for this layout, and went for a simple 4 quadrant design.  The patterned papers are from the Grace collection, by Authentique.

The pink rhinestones are from Abi's Craft (from my massive haul a while back).  The pretty pink butterfly and play phrase are both Heidi Swapp goodies, from Vintage Chic.  I had a hard time figuring out where I wanted to place that word phrase, but finally found a good spot for it.

Journaling card was from a Studio Calico cut apart sheet, but I don't remember the collection.  The beautiful giant rhinestone is from Glitz Design, from their Uncharted Waters collection.

I don't remember which company the white doilies are from, but I got them in one of my kits from Cocoa Daisy, when I used to be subscribed to them last year.  And those are one of my favourite thickers!  They are glittery and foam and from Dear Lizzy, in the font fancy

And here's the video!  And check out my channel for other Start to Finish videos, as well as a couple hauls! =)

Happy scrapping this week!

A Little Christmas Gift!

Hey everyone!

Sorry it's been a little while since I last updated but it's been a bit crazy around here.  The biggest thing that's happened is probably that my husband and I bought a house!!  It was a long hunt (nearly 7 months of hard looking) but we finally found one that we absolutely love!  So packing, moving and unpacking has been taking up a lot of my time.  The office isn't set up yet, so I haven't been able to properly work on projects or post them from the computer.  However, putting all that aside... Have you guys noticed how quickly Christmas has been sneaking up?  Here in Alberta, Canada it's been snowing for almost the whole month and it's definitely feeling a lot like Christmas!

So!  Since it's that time of year again, I thought it was only appropriate to throw in a little Christmas Special for everyone!! I'm having a 60% off sale on all packages listed on my website!  That's a HUGE amount of savings!!  So go over and take a look!  Custom scrapbooks make perfect gifts for yourself (finally want to get all those photos from your vacation to Mexico into an album and off your computer?) or for someone special (anniversary coming up? Why not make an album recording your past years together?)!

And if you have something else in mind that you don't see listed on my site, just email me, and I'll get back to you right away!

HAPPY SCRAPPING THIS HOLIDAY SEASON!!  =]  Will be back with more updates on layouts and projects soon!
